Learn About Mike Uszner
Home Inspector with 45 years construction experience
Born and raised in Colonie New York. Attended Colonie Central High School and graduated in 1968 from Vincentian Institute in Albany NY.
Started framing houses in 1970. Worked with very qualified contractors who taught me the “Right Way to Do Things”, I learned all phases of the home construction by actually doing each phase myself. I learned roofing, siding, windows, doors, decks, kitchens, bathrooms, additions, sun rooms, basement finishing, plumbing, electric, and served a 4 year apprenticeship in heat and frost insulators union. I taught the apprentice school for the Insulators Union Local #40 (Insulation).
I have been a general foreman for the union Insulators building the Global Foundries Complex in Malta NY. At its height, I supervised 85 employees.
I have been trained in Home Inspection my CATS of Albany (Continuing Adult Training), received my NYS License and further and Continuing Education and Certification from NACHI ( International Association of Certified Home Inspectors)
My education – hands on experience with residential home building and remodeling has enhanced my ability to observe every aspect of the property; and to report my findings to the client in a way they can be clearly informed, “Not Shocked”.
Safety, Operation & Condition (SOC) are paramount to me in my inspections.
